Competency Requirements and Licensing

No electrical qualifications are required in either New Zealand or Australia however, people carrying out inspection and testing need to be ‘competent’.

However, it should be noted that Metrotest wants to ensure that all those attending training are above competency. Metrotest uses a licensing scheme to ensure that anyone who is trained is able to perform testing safely and competently. Metrotest gives you the fall backing of our training and our reputation behind it.
